:yeah That would be amazing to see. We would probally score in the triple digits with those types of numbers.

I hope they get over 300 rushing next week. In the first half there weren't a lot of big gains on first or second down, and that should change against Nicholls State. I expect us to pound the rosk early and often.

I think the balance was great. We had some statistically dead even run/pass games last year. But, this is the first game that really felt like the run game was actually worth something. It set up some big playes on 3rd down. That's another thing, we completed almost 70% of our 3rd downs! That's HUGE over our measley 33% last season. Hopefully, this new approach with the TE sets and the 4back rotation will keep that rolling.

70% on third down was crazy. Third down and anywhere up to five yards gives up options to either run or throw. That was something that we didn't have last year. Our offense is going to be dangerous this year if everyone stays healthy.

^^^I agree. Even though it was against LA Tech, this offense showed it knows what it's doing. It reminded me of the spring game actually, with the offense doing what it wants with a vanilla gameplan.

Pretty vanilla yesterday, will be the same next week.

Look for major improvements in all aspects of the game.

Did some more historical research. We trounced La Tech by 39 points. The last time we matched that was in 2004, a 39-point victory in the opener against Western Illinois in Bill Callahan's 56-17 debut. The last time we exceeded that margin? Try the 3rd of November...2001...against Kansas. We were fresh off our victory over BCS #1 Oklahoma and top-ranked in all the polls.

Good memories.
