Sadler, USM End Game with Only Four Players

When you start a basketball game with only seven players, and two of them foul out, the last thing in the world you want is to go into overtime.

Even worse, when another one fouls out in the overtime period, leaving only four players on the court, you're in big trouble.

Unfortunately for the Southern Mississippi Golden Eagles, that's what happened to them against the FIU Panthers on Thursday night at Reed Green Coliseum.

And to sum it up, although USM played about as well as it can despite the injury, defection, academic and suspension problems, the Eagles lost to FIU 73-71.

The lost was the fifth straight and 14th of the last 15 games for the Golden Eagles, who dropped to 6-17 overall and 1-11 in Conference USA.

I think he have have only had four guys on the court at Nebraska too. That could explain some things.
