LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) -- New Orleans Saints coach Sean Payton attended the Nebraska Cornhuskers spring practice Friday and called it "one of the better college practices I've ever seen."

"I couldn't get over the tempo of practice," Payton said. "I've known Bill (Callahan) long enough to really not be surprised by what I saw today. He is a great teacher and he obviously has a great group of coaches here working with these guys."

Payton served with Callahan on the staff of the Philadelphia Eagles in 1997.

He was in Lincoln to speak at the two-day Nebraska Spring Coaches Clinic, attended by more than 800 coaches. Also scheduled to speak are Indianapolis assistant Gene Huey, former Nebraska coach Tom Osborne, former Kansas City coach Frank Gansz and Philadephia offensive line coach Juan Castillo.

The Cornhuskers return to the practice field on Saturday.

Yeah, but TO isnt "involved" with NU athletics... give me a break. If you recommended someone who was one of your best friends and they got fired, you would be a pretty sh**ty friend if you sided with management, wouldnt you?, and trust me, TO is above all else, a loyal man.
