But... but... he's a Cotton. Don't they know his dad sucks, he can't catch, he can't block, and everything is his fault? Did he get signed on at the "fall guy" position?

 
Patriots look for value. Hence the Blount dismissal and Burkhead hiring. Cotton can block, catch, FG team, punt team, practice, and keep his nose clean...he could have a decent 3-4 yr pro career if he fills those spots.
