It was a very bad opinion to let out. Probably the best HS volleyball coach I had the pleasure of spending time around coached the very same way. He knew he had to coach well in practice. His practices were very on point and that's where he made his mark. When his teams got in matches, he really didn't need to do much other than manage the game. The practices were hard, and the girls had fun in games winning the vast majority of them.
I never once remember seeing him get after a player in a match with anger. He just sat there calmly and watched.
