the deal guarantees the 36-year-old Sarkisian $12.75 million through 2015. It replaces the five-year contract he signed when he joined the team in January 2009.
Washington finished the season at 6-6 overall and 5-4 in the Pac-10 before going on to beat No. 17 Nebraska in the Holiday Bowl.

An extra $5 million?? Okay, I don’t actually know how much more Sarkisian got because U-dub kicked our a$$ in the Holiday bowl. But I’ll bet that win was worth millions $$ to him in his recent contract extension.

 
So he caught a contract extension for going to a bowl game. He should be thanking Washington State, not Nebraska. Its not like he beat us in both meetings.

The link doesnt say anything about a winning record or beating Nebraska was the reason for the contract extension.

We are gonna whoop his a#$ next year anyway.
