Until we stop getting stomped on national tv, the West is Wisky's to lose. Who knows which NU shows up this year. We have been so Jeckyll and Hyde, its hard to get a pulse. Taking into account a new defensive staff, scheme, new QB and offensive production lost that would seem to have some merit. However this is completely lost on teams like Wisky, losing the heart and should of the D, Iowa losing Beathard, new coach at Minnie etc.... As for Fleck, guy did some great things in the MAC. He can recruit in the MAC. No telling how this translates in the B1G going against some great recruiters and teams with more "name recognition". This isn't the MAC. Nor the Big XII........as NU still seems to be figuring out.
We have the talent, we have the facilities, we have the QB's who fit the scheme. Do we have the coaches offensively to get us to the next level. For me, the jury is still out. Langs is a lot like Beck IMO. No continuity, good at game planning lesser competition. Gets out coached by better talent. If Coz can't get a 2 deep on OL he needs to be gone. He's is the weakest link IMO. This is their year to shine. Riley proved that he will do what he needs to. For the record, I am starting to like the hire in Riley. Past two years was on the fence, but am optimistically cautious this year.
