Scary Sports Injuries

I don't remember what state Kimbo Slice Vs. Thompson was held in but that fight never should have happened. :wacko: Thompson ear was swelled up when he stepped into the cage. Any reputible corner/cut man would have known it was on the verge of exploding. Also the Athletic commission should have insisted a doctor look at it prior to the fight. At least they all got paid! :rant

Bad thing is I've seen that stuff when I was "ON CALL" for surgical emergencies. Lotsa compound fractures and such. I guess it just isn't the same in person as watching it happen. Maybe I just had my professional face on for the patient. Having your nurse freak out looking at their injury wouldn't be too good. :)

:yeah

It is important to have your game face on. I have been to a few injury accidents in rural areas where I have had to move the volunteer fireman away from victims before they puke or pass out from compound fractures or amputations.
