From the Omaha World-Herald:
Former Nebraska recruit Ryan Schuler will arrive at a third school before playing a down of college football.
Northern Iowa coach Mark Farley confirmed Tuesday that Schuler is leaving the NCAA Division I-AA program. Schuler arrived at UNI at the semester break but did not go through spring practice with the Panthers.
Farley and Kim Nelson, Schuler's high school coach at Sioux Falls (S.D.) Washington, said the offensive tackle wants to return to Division I-A. Nelson hinted that Schuler would be talking to Iowa and Iowa State...
Schuler was a 6-foot-7, 270-pounder coming out of Sioux Falls when Nebraska pulled him away from Oklahoma, Colorado and Iowa in 2003. Issues with blood clots never allowed him to get into a Husker uniform.
Farley said Schuler was medically cleared this spring by Northern Iowa doctors.
