Former Stanford and Nebraska quarterback Scott Frost has been hired to replace Robin Pflugrad as Oregon’s receivers coach, Andy Mac reports.
After a pro playing career, Frost entered the coaching ranks in 2006. He spent the last two seasons coaching defense at Northern Iowa.
The announcement notes that Frost joins “head coach Mike Bellotti’s staff for 2009.” Perhaps at hint at Bellotti’s intentions? We’ll see.
Frost has been a front-runner for this position behind the scenes, and even attended a UO bowl practice in San Diego, I was told. I just was never able to confirm his candidacy well enough to publish anything.
