Scott Frost is one of my all-time favorite Huskers. I think he's intelligent, hard working, and was a great representative for not only the Husker program, but for the state. I really hope that he goes far with his coaching career and one day is head coach at NU. I hope Frost returns to NU as an assistant under Callahan and then gets his chance.

Anyway, just thinking about Frost standing on the K-State sideline this weekend.

Didn't really care for his blog last year for LJS. I don't know if it was his interpretation of how things had been handled and how he was treated, or if he is just a douchebag. Care for him even less standing on the KSU sideline. Hopefully he puts in his time there and can get a job with a real program.

I heard one guy on 1620 the other day saying he won't even set foot in Frost's restaurant as long as he's affiliated with KSU. I don't think he's done anything yet to warrent the traitor label like Barney Cotton.

I just don't see Frost coaching under BC. I think the only way that Frost is back on the NU staff is if we have a coaching change.

BC came in and wanted his coaches. He retained 2 coaches from the previous staff (Gill and Downing)(not sure if downing was even a assistant coach or a fb rep, recruiting coordinator, etc.). Then it didn't take too long before the two coaches from the previous staff went their own ways. The reason for that is for them to know. That's why I don't believe SF will be a husker coach until changes are made.

Since we are talking about ex-Huskers as returning coaches I'll throw this one out.

I'd much rather see Gill back than Frost. Mr. Frost fairly or not never struck me as the sharpest knife in the drawer. Gill on the other hand always did and still does. I heard an interview with him on Big Sports 590 last week and I was even more impressed with the man and the coach. It wouldn't break my heart to see him back here one day. He still has the Osborn mentality that his role as head coach is much larger than just football. Granted the Osborne years are over, as they should be. There is always a time to move on but many of the philosphies of TO were instrumental in making the program what it was. That was a program that never really had any issues with the NCAA, always had a reputation for being honest and reputable and for helping young men play above their physical talents and becoming men while doing so. Not a bad legacy IMO

I totally agree. When I was typing I was thinking that Gill has a better shot to be a Husker coach. He finally got his shot as a head coach w/ Buffalo. He just needs to post some wins there and get the hell out and move on to a better school.

In a article in todays KC Starr it talked alittle about Frost that

he has had this game circled since the start of the season and

one of the KSU players said they were going to try and win this

game for him. :hmmph

Frost and coaching... Interesting topic.

I will always view Frost, Frazier & Berringer as the Huskers best QB's ever. They won championships and that's the greatest accomplishment a team can get. I will always like Frost because of that. (The other QB's that won championships were before my time).

I could see Gill as the NU coach. Would be cool. I'm going to throw another one out there as an NU coach and that would be Trev Alberts. I like his passion for the game. Of course, this is all hypathetical.

Isn't that like saying he's gonna beat up his mom for him? It really only makes sense if Frost has animosity towards NU which he doesn't.

I don't fault Frost for accepting a job at K-State, even though I can't stand K-State. I do think it's good for coaches to experience other programs before getting head coaching positions. Regardless of whether Gill or Frost ever gets the head job at NU, I think it's great that they learned other ways of doing things.

I always found it interesting that Solich waited until after he had lost his job at NU before he went out and learned from other coaches and experienced other ways of doing things.

On the field he did a good job and was a good leader. However I've played golf with him once and he kind of seemed like a tool.
