Seahawks win vs GB shows the way, Pete Carroll

Four-Star Recruit
Pete C has taken his knowledge of the game to the next level. He's showed that the most potent passing offense can be shut down while only rushing 4 linemen. How'd he do it? Big, Physical, and fast secondary......

Which leads us to where we are with our roster.....S J Baptiste....is in this same mold, and should be playing...we'd get better sack stats if he were.

The recruit from SD N Gerry is in this mold too at 6-2 and fast...

A couple of Our safties fit the new mold as well.

When you compare talent in schemes, accounting for the differences in performance matters....Detroit with arguably the best DLine does not shut down passing games...

DBacks too small cant play man, give recvrs way too much space...

Seattle has the right mix to go far....showing defensive minded coaches a better way.

So...... Does this thread pertain to Nebraska football, or is it just a glorification of the Crooked chickensh#t Carrol? This is an honest question.

Carrols schemes versus the packers showed the league how to do it...

dont have anything else to say or defend PC...about.

Look at our roster do we have the personell in place...maybe.

I think it says, Carrol was considered a good NFL defensive coordinator before the USC job and that's what he is doing again. He may have brought the talent to USC the wrong way, and they paid for it, but if you can get the right players and you know defense, it still wins games. Bo knows defense. Just needs to be able to get the right players, in an area that isn't that easy to recruit from. He will....

GBR!!!

First, you are aware the Wisconsin Badgers are not the same team as the Green Bay Packers, right? And I don't believe the Huskers have an NFL-like passing team on their schedule. I say this because, the Huskers will need the defensive line to show up Saturday night to stop the run, not the pass.

Secondly, Bo Pelini and others already know this. Athletic, aggressive backs like Asante, Haag, Gomes, Amukamara, Dennard and others is the reason the offenses of Missouri, Kansas, Texas (in Big12 CCG) got shut down.

Our current problem is that while he have the backs to give a passing team struggles, we have unknowns on the defensive line to stop a running team. College football is much more balanced (as far as running vs. passing teams) than the NFL.

Pete Carroll has lead the way for nothing, except leading the way out of Los Angeles to not suffer from the sanctions.

To be fair, Green Bay's offense has sucked since last year's NFC Championship game.

I have a strong dislike of seeing Pete Caroll give victory press interviews after games he had no right to win. "Tate made a great play for us" - yes, by shoving someone out of his way and not actually catching the ball.

Ugh.

Actually, it was Romeo Crennel and Kansas City that showed the league how to do it, last December.

I think he has a point. Unfortunately, what we will deal with over the course of the B1G season we need a d line that is formidable.

I'm actually OUT before the lock. Don't want to be trapped in.
