Sell out could be in jeopardy

Flow

Walk-on
We pay too much for our tickets. Do people really know how much a "new ticket holder" would have to pay for tickets. It's a $750 donation per ticket below row 50 plus the $56-65 a ticket per game. Too much for an below average coached team .

Sometimes I wish the sellout streak would just end already. Then, we could all stop talking about it.

People would b!^@h about it ending. It's a lose-lose

Well its not ending this year. Cuz thats just how it works. But unless theres drastic improvement it very well could this offseason. Then we'll finally be at absolute zero. We'll finally have our true reset. Yes?

Sure, for a couple weeks, maybe a season, and then in passing conversation. Eventually, nobody would give a damn anymore.

Yeah it does get old, especially when nobody else in the nation cares about it. I honestly bet 95% Husker fans know the stat and less than 5% all other fans know that stat
And almost every single 'powerhouse' team right now sucked in the last 15-20 years at some point and didn't sell out their games. I know Husker fans take a lot of pride in it, and I do too, but I also don't care if it ends one day. Sometimes, not going to the games sparks necessary changes. If you don't want to pay to watch a bad product I 100% support that.

Good thing they reduced the student section years ago. They would make the point clear this year to husker nation. Bo knows about that.

I haven't been here very long, and this has to be at least the 3rd time someone has made this claim. Wow! I'm frustrated too, but still a fan. I live in GA and almost never get to go to a game. I would love to make it to more. Even if we are not having a very good season.

Tired of hearing about this... The "Sell-Out Streak" has been nothing more than an accounting trick since Callahan's days. Excess tickets are simply bought at face value(donation fee excluded

) by NU. Then the Uber-boosters are leg humped into donating to cover the cost retroactively. Boom! Sell-out. If those boosters declined to cover it, money from general funds and undirected donations would simply be moved over to cover said costs. The streak won't end till we run out of accountants.

Lot of good points on this thread. I too grow tired of hearing about it. I grow more tired of it coming up after every single loss we have.
