Since we already have Cincinnati scheduled for the following week, I think the AD will call that our "marquis" game, and go with a medium-strength opponent.  Lame, I know, but likely.  Denver would be a sweet neutral location, IMO.  Lots of Husker fans in the area to fill it up.  Plus the "Broncos-Broncos" angle.

Why?  I love it.  I would be thrilled to have an annual week 1 or 2 game against Northwestern.  Even better, if/when OU joins, schedule them as our Black Friday game and let Iowa/Wisconsin play on rivalry weekend.  Then we could play Iowa week 1 or 2 when they suck almost every year.  Open the year with a division win, save a creampuff for the weekend before the OU game.  SEC does it, we should too.

 
We've played Oklahoma State the first game of the season a couple of times, once in the Big 8 and once in the Big XII.

Yup.  In Stillwater in (maybe???) 94.  And Frank's 1st game w/ his new staff in Lincoln in 03 (and my wife's 1st Husker game).
