Do the players understand the gravity of being 1-2?

Translation: Heres a panic button. Would you like to punch it?

Riley didnt flinch. The room was not covered in hot lava. Instead, the Nebraska head coach gave a long, thoughtful answer that touched on this...
Shatel writes, "A little perspective by the head coach can go a long way." I agree; it's refreshing to see this sort of leadership. The result is of course not ideal, but I think Riley will be able to handle this Lincoln pressure cooker.

Nice article. One thing I noticed in HCMR's presser was how he handled the Alex Lewis question. He defused that situation very well, I thought. No punishment, no ban on social media, no admonishment of the fans that goaded him on, no secrecy. He just talked to Alex, and he told us what they talked about, acknowledging that he was wrong for the generalization. -- that's it. Nothing to see, here. No longer a talking point, or a distraction.

Something tells me most of them would probably prefer the training table.

Yeah, I think that's great. A ban on social media would just be counterproductive. I find his approach to be a good one; it gives players an opportunity to be their best and still do what they want. If they make a mistake as Alex did, they have to realize it and own it.
