Shatel: In firecoach.com world, Osborne all about #Perspective

You could almost throw Texas in there as well. I'd rather win 9 to 10 games each and every season than to win one NC and then fall completely off the map.

I'm not on the Pelini bandwagon anymore. At first I loved the fire and passion, as we needed it after the Callahan fiasco. But over time it seems like the fire and passion has turned into anger, frustration and stubborness. I do not like the undisciplined style of play. I am willing to see how the season plays out. In reality, the only way I see Pelini departing is by his own choice (new job in NFL or College) or if he were to go 6-6 or 7-5 for a few seasons. Then the big money boosters would push for a change.

The last two posts, both great responses.

You don't fire a coach after a 9 win season....you have to give a man like Bo time. Period.
I completely agree. especially with the bold. And I think most Nebraska fans feel this way. TO knew that Bo was going to be a project when he hired him. But TO seen something in a guy who had no head coaching experience ever and he TO (the guy that most people think of first when they think of the Nebraska program) made the decision to hire Bo. I think the athletic department has faith that in time Bo will turn the program into a year in year out conference championship contender and that he will have this program mentioned as a team that is always a threat to win the National Championship.

Is it going to take time? Hell yes its going to take time. Are we in a better place then we were 5 short years ago? Hell yes we are! Sure Bo's teams make stupid penalties and boneheaded plays at what seems like the worst possible times. But that is something that Bo will figure out how to correct with more experience. BUT there is one thing that Bo's teams do not do and that is just give up. They play til the very end and that is a direct reflection on Bo as well. This guy will end up a being a good coach, and if he gets fired from Nebraska one of these days we will regret it.

I'm actually glad we have that thread Nuance. Thank god there was someone to point out all the problems we actaully have on offense, because with the blinders I was leading myself to believe that the offense was the least of our worries this year.
Since penalties, turnovers and boneheaded mistakes are all part of the offense---yes, we still have some rather large concerns to address. But our offense does seem to move the ball nicely down the field at times. And seems to put up some decent numbers on the scoreboard.

//But I guess that's a topic for another thread, no? lol
:sarcasm :D
Ha ha! I guess my sarcasm-O-meter is broken. lol

I have to acknowledge our offense is doing well. Our defense, not so much. I think the only solution is to keep our OC, fire Bo and bring back the HC that we had when our defense was playing well a few years ago. ;)
