Shawn Eichorst

BigRedBuster

International Man of Mystery
Is being reported as the leading candidate for AD and he just resigned from the University of Miami.

Ik this is naive thinking, but why should i have confidence in someone who can only get 500 people in the stands for football? Ik there are some circumstances at Miami, but damn that's bad.

I mentioned in the rumorville thread that I was hoping for someone within. I was skeptical on someone from Miami. But it was a kneejerk, pre-conceived opinion. Someone pointed out his experience with Alvarez, so i did some reading on the guy. A pretty good choice in my eyes. Also someone who walked in a firestorm down and probably wants to get the hell out and start again.

I'm sure he'll do a fine job. I'm ok with the hire. But personally I would have just assumed have PM as I see these two as pretty equal. The only difference is that someone else gave him an AD job a year ago and he took it even though it was a time bomb of a job.

I know a change is needed. I know TO is getting old and we need younger energy.

But, I'm nervous. I believe right now we have good coaches in most sports at Nebraska. People like Miles are new and trying hard to build programs and I think he is doing a great job. People like Cook and Pelini are heads of good programs or have come a long ways building their programs.

A new AD can cause changes in coaches if they don't get along.

Pardon me if I'm shell shocked from the Peddy hire. I know nothing about this guy but I'm just nervous about the change in general.

I'm not to god awful worried. I'm sure Tom has had a pretty big voice in the process. I'm sure the right choice is being made. It has to be, because Tom won't be able to save us again.

I wonder what this guy will think about a full stadium to look at on gameday?

First task as new AD for Eichorst: keep Paul Meyers.
