Guess losing to Auburn 4 times in a row will do it. Shula is apparently our as the Tide's HC.

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) - Alabama fired coach Mike Shula less than a year after the Crimson Tide finished a 10-2 season, according to a newspaper report.

Shula told his assistant coaches late Sunday night that Alabama athletic director Mal Moore had dismissed him, The Tuscaloosa News reported on its Web site.

That would be huge and it seems like a good fit for Spurrier. Alabama will be dominant very quickly if that happens.

Another poster on OUInsider said his connections were with Boosters and AD dept and the plan was Bama was going to fish around for a new coach and if they got any good nibbles, they would try to set the hook. According to this guy, if they didn't get any good nibbles, Shula would be around for another year. Apparently, at least what this guy says, Spurrier took the bait. No official word and I personally still think this is nothing more than rumor but stranger things have happened.

I heard Bo Pelini is on the short list of people for this job.

Actually I know nothing I just figured I would say it before someone else did. If Bo doesn't score one of the MANY jobs that are open what will people say about his greatness then?

The Ole Ball Coach to Alabama spells trouble for the rest of the Nation.
