SI ranks last 20 Heisman winners

Is Charles Woodson REALLY worthy of being #4??? I dont think he was that deserving of the Heisman. (but thats just my opinion)

I mean c'mon, I think everyone here knows Davison should've won the Heisman that year for his catch in the Mizzou game alone!!! :sarcasm

I still dont see why everyone thought Crouch wasn't that good of a Heisman winner, or even didn't deserve it at all.....

he made un-be-freakin-leavable plays against Mizzou, and OU, and without him, Nebraska would have been about 2-10 that year at best........

Because these idiots base everything off what they did AFTER college not DURING college <_< . I don't think we'd been 2-10 without Crouch but we wouldn't have been in the position we were in that year.

so your a Jamal Lord fan???? ;)
How they can rank Crouch below players like Salaam, and Woodson, and Weinke, and Ward, and Wuerffel, etc...is simply unbelievable. Crouch was an amazing college football player. I can understand putting Tim Brown ahead of him, and Barry Sanders, but most of the rest of that ranking is a joke! But then again, it is SI...

By the way, I wish Jamal would have come along at a different time. I think he was an incredible athlete in a system caught in limbo between a passing attack and an option. With a better offensive coordinator he could have been much more successful.

I would of ranked Ron Dayne a whole lot higher. I think the knock on him is that he was not flashy like Howard, Woodson, or some of the quarterbacks.

I can't believe they ranked him so low on that list...............he was an incredible player in college!!! :WTH
I agree. Crouch WAS the Nebraska offense. Hard to deny that. Giving him such a low rating I think has more to do with the "after" life then what he did on the field!

Yeah if he would have just shut his mouth and not complained when he made it to the NFL and just played receiver who knows what he would be doing right now for the Rams!!!

I agree. I think Crouch could of played a role like Don Beebe from the Bills/Packers did! A fast as hell slot WR, and at the time one of the fastest guys in the NFL. Once ran a 4.3 40 in full pads!

He now operates "Don Beebe's House of Speed," where he trains athletes. During his career, he ran a 4.3 40-yard dash in full pads, and was considered one of the fastest players in the NFL during that time.
WOW now THAT"S FAST!
Fast isn't even the word for a 4.3 40.......................f'ing insane is more like it!!!! I remember watching Beebe when I was growing up...............guy was amazing!!!
