Now – let's consider Bo for a second. Right now. Days after one of the poorest showings of his tenure at NU.

You know where he is? Solich after the 2000 season. Maybe Solich after the 2001 season. No kidding. The record looks good. Everybody's still on board. There's some negativity, but it'll burn off, replaced with optimism for 2011 and the start of a Big Ten era.

But the writing's on the wall for Nebraska's offense. The chinks are there. Bo can rework this thing with Watson or he can promote from within, but the football gods won't be giving him the “loyal coach” discount. Nor will he get a “jack of all trades” discount for trying to call the defense and manage the offense at the same time. The 2011 schedule is brutal by Big Ten design. I expect no competitive breaks from Jim Delany's bunch. Not from the referees, opposing coaches, or the league office.

Translation of Sam speak: Clean house now, or suffer the consequences that another year of crappy offense will result in.

Wise advice if you ask me.

who is Bo Pelini? when Bo looks in the mirror what does he see? does he see T.O in the background? what does he believe in? what changes does he want to make? finally, what will he do going forward? as a HC, he is at a crossroads in his career, i am sure he knows that.

The honeymoon for Bo is finally over. If TO does in fact hold any strings over Bo with regards to staff changes, he probably made a big mistake not taking the Miami job.

How many recruits do we lose, if we get rid of the offensive staff?
How many of those recruits win games for us DESPITE the lousy playcalling? It's a tradeoff. Short-term vs long-term. At least with a new OC the offense gets a pass next season (pretty hard to be as bad as we are now though...)

How many recruits do we lose, if we get rid of the offensive staff?
Who gives a damn? How many more games do we lose sticking to the status quo?
This. Recruiting is one small portion, you have to develop them once they get here. Bo Pelini and his defensive staff have proved they can do it without 5* guys. Can the offense? Not at this point, its all about coaching guys.

If 2007-2008-2009 didn't show you that on the defensive side of the ball than I can't help you.
