ESPN 30-minute film, set for sometime in Nov., seeks to capture essence of Tom Osborne's 'go-for-2' decision in '84 Orange Bowl. Very cool.

Says the producer, Jon Frankel: "Nebraska lost the game, but did it with honor. Ultimately, that means more than what the scoreboard says."

Sounds like it will air in Nov. With 5 prime time games, Randy Gregory's potentially high draft pick (early rankings has him as #3 all-around), Ameer's return for his senior season, our current top 10 recruiting class, and, now, this documentary, there are a lot of story lines that could have Nebraska in the national spotlight this year. Hopefully, the product on the field can propel the buzz that could be happening in the fall.

That decision is totally exemplary of Nebraska football. It really is more than winning. Not the victory but the action. Not the goal but the game........

I prefer the 2 pt conversion attempt. Removes all doubt if we hit it. Unkike Michigan hiding from us in 97 yet still claiming they were better.

People don't remember this nearly enough. Every time I read it I still re-read it in my head slowly about ten times and just soak in the message it conveys, and you're right. That one play is the literal tangible example of this principle.

Turner Gill told Frankel, the producer: "I didn't execute the throw. If it's four inches the other way, we're 13-0 and national champs.'"
