Georgia - 6

Nebraska - 6

Miami - 5

Florida State - 4

Ohio State - 4

Southern California - 4

I don't know if I am more surprised of the number of Cornhuskers as NFL captains or the lack of Sooners?

The DMN article goes on to mention that 7 teams do not have special teams captains (also of note, six teams have zero captains).......

Six teams do not have permanent captains but coaches assign them on a weekly basis. If they all do it as a reward like the Eagle's Reid then that can be a pretty cool approach.
