Slobberknockers

A little change of topic after the game.  With all the changes in rules protecting players, are there any plays, or circumstances where we can expect to see a good old 'slobberknocker' hit on the field which would not be followed by a penalty?

No and I'm pretty sure even the word "slobberknocker" is now disallowed.

I'm old and loved the hard hits, I do understand the logic behind making play safer, and I"m not one to complain about the fact.  I just really miss being able to use the word slobberknocker.  Sigh

Gifford put a nice hit on somebody today, and I was fully expecting a flag.  Scary thing, it wasn't even a "de-cleater" like we used to see but today being what it is I assumed a flag would come.

I could see it happening on offense if a RB cuts back against the grain and gets blind sided.  Also on INTs when the DB turns into the ball carrier.  I saw a pretty good hit in the Okie Lite/South Alabama game on Friday that way.
