Basically he got pissed he didn't get a scholarship, ran his mouth and left. Kinda like he did at the last place he was at.
He said he was promised a scholarship, but in an interview when he arrived he himself said he'd have to work for it.
In two words. Sour grapes. Now, if you talk to Benard, Matt Perrault or any other husker hater you'll hear a different story per usual. It's going to be a long off season after an even longer "season" for CU fans. You gotta talk about something when you are done doing whatever the hell they do over there.

So are they complaining about Brennan also? He could have been THE QB for Colorado until his brush with the law and is now putting up MONSTER numbers for Hawaii.

So what is the story? I looked around the board, husker extra and googled his name and didn't find anything to tell me the story. Please fill in a non-insider.
All I been told is he wasn't impressive in practices and wasn't able to earn a scholarship. However, he claims he got a raw deal and said he was promised a scholarship. The evidence appears to be the opposite. He needed to show promise on the practice field which he apparently failed to do.
There was quite a large thread about 2 weeks ago on here. Look back a little ways. Way more press than it deserved.

At a certain point the Coaches advised him to look elsewhere to play. Most likely because he wasn't performing.
