Those are not the Blackshirts, just something they wear under their shirts/pads. Probably Under Armor or something like it.

yeah - i'm on the fence w/ Bo's "earn them" thing. Crick hasn't earned one? Dennard? David? I guess they are a "team" thing so I understand, but part of me thinks they should be handed out early, and you'd better earn your right to continue wearing it.
