Some love from SI

Four-Star Recruit
COTTON BOWL

No. 10 Auburn (10-2) vs. No. 22 Nebraska (9-4)

Just for kicks, FOX should let Brian and Stewie from Family Guy call the action.

Stewie: "What the deuce? Nebraska appears to be lining up for an onsides kick. How dare they?"

Brian: "This reminds of that time I got kicked in the tail by Sebastian Janikowski." (Cue up random flashback)

Nebraska 26, Auburn 17

That's scary. Those guys at SI are never right. I was just reading a past issue the other day that came out pre-1996 Fiesta Bowl. And they predicted that Florida would beat the Skers. Well, even a broken clock is right twice a day. Hopefully this year's Cotton Bowl is one of those times when the morons at SI get it right.

I hope Lee Corso doesn't come out with a "not so fast my friend" again like he did before the Big XII Championship!!!

I am not trying to trash talk here...

I find it very interesting that all the media outlets seem to be favoring Nebraska in this one. Some by 10 points or more. It just seems like the teams match up almost dead even, so I would think the predictions would be about 50/50. But, right now it's more like 90/10. :(

Not sure what's going on there. I can tell you that I have not run into an Auburn fan yet that thinks we are gonna hand this one over to you guys, though. Expect a fight to the finish regardless of what the media says.

I would agree with you my friend. I would think AU would have the upper hand in this one

The media puzzles me sometimes. I think they do rock, paper scissors to decide who is going to win. Sometimes they make statements about a team that are so far off the mark that you know they did not do their homework. This is going to be a close game that can easily go either way.

Here's a compilation of many predictions about the game:

http://huskerpedia.com/games/2006/files/auburn_predict.html

From that list it's actually about 70% favoring Auburn. I'd agree with AU having a slight edge going into this one, but I think the Huskers will give them all they can handle. Should be a very good game.

Well you automatically think that since Auburn is ranked so much higher and they beat Florida that Auburn is favored in this one.................the media is so damn confusing sometimes!!!!
