This just in from South Stadium …
Nebraska football coach Bill Callahan announced Monday that freshman linebacker Jeff Souder has left the program due to personal reasons.
A graduate of Bellevue West High School, Souder played in 10 games in 2005, primarily on special teams, and finished with six tackles.
for the kids, it is all about playing now, nothing else matters.....to most of themHe really was doing pretty darn good I heard. His coach said he wasn't happy about some things. He'll be a good player somewhere. He wouldn't of made played much this coming year but the year after he probably would of played quite a bit.
I agree. He would have panned out well if he would have stayed. Great athletes find the field somewhere. That's too bad, he was a fireball on special teams.
Yeah, he already went from grey shirt to #2 at WILL for the Alamo Bowl. I wonder what made him decide to leave? In that article before Christmas he seemed to be having a ball knocking heads off, even if it was on practice and on special teams in games.I agree.
