Special Teams TDs - do we get one this year?

Which game will see Nebraska's first 2011 Special Teams TD?

I think we actually have more than one next year. Based on last season the Big Ten coverage teams really suck.

Iowa, Wisconsin, Minnesota and Michigan all gave up a couple long ones before conference play last year. (Iowa actually gave up a 100 yarder to Arizona) and Miami took a kick to the house twice against Ohio State... heck IRRC Marshall even took one to the house against the Buckeyes and for the most part they weren't exactly stellar as the season wore on either.

While there is a lot of special teams suck on our schedule this year I think it takes the young guys a few games to get up to "game speed" and trust themselves enough to try to take a chance or two. So rather than go with an early season cupcake score (where we'll have plenty of chances) I'll pick our first kick return TD to come against the worst special teams coverage unit in the Big Ten - Minnesota.

I don't know what concerns me more - the fact that you used this line or the fact that I know where it's from. I used to know the translation, but I'd have to go dig it up again to remember.

thanks for getting mine blocked as well. congrats! are you the guy that goes to a bar to watch the game and orders a water w/ lemon? or do u stay home and watch it with your wife and all of her friends? football is 90% beer, fatty foods, and guy stuff. a football forum is dominated by men, talking football w/ the occasional hot chick story/pic. this forum is turning into a blue haired bridge game where the conversation centers on football dominated rumors.

ps: i stand during the game too

Don't get mad at me, because I certainly wasn't the first, or last to complain. I'm 26 years old, married, and have a son. I drink hard liquor, beer and smoke cigars while grilling whatever I feel like on gamedays. And yes, I watch football all day with my wife (she's a winner), my grandfather, and other family. I'm 100% red blooded American male. I never was a frat boy or dudebro, so I guess you got me there.We try to go to the local watchsite when we can and watch games with 100+ other folks. I live out of state (Florida) and my only connection to Nebraska football is TV and forums. I don't want to have to think about the wife, boss, son looking over my shoulder as I'm scrolling down a thread and seeing thinking I'm doing something I'm not. Don't try to make yourself out to be a bigger man just because you have some chicks tits as your avatar. This is the Husker football thread, not the woodshed.

And the woodshed doesn't have tits anymore either - they went PG w/ it too.

I knew you were responding to me, that's why. And the only reason I blocked certain people was because of images that were skirting the rules, not your opinion. Now that the issue has been resolved, the unblocking begins.

 
Folks, don't derail this thread with a conversation about sigs and avatars. Take it up in Board Feedback, please.

 
Back to the topic at hand, I think we'll see a punt return vs Wyoming, and a kick return against Iowa.

 
The hardest part will be to decide who the returners will be. My preference is to remove Kinnie and Rex from the mix and leave it up to these choices.

KR Heard, Abdullah, Green, Bell or Turner

PR - Turner or Bell or Green

I guess I will go with Turner as deep punt return. KR I will go with Green and Bell.

I could see us scoring a bunch of special TD early and then people kicking away from us and not getting any later in later games.

I am going to guess 5 for the year.
