Spielman Makes PFF's B1G Week 7 Team

Thanks Mavric for posting,

Here is a problem.  A great performance, rewarded by the Big Ten, but 99% of the posters would rather b!^@h about Coach Riley, or swear the Savior is headed this way, of course we need to give him at least 10 Million for what he has done.

Thank you for supporting one of our team, it is shame few do on these type of things.

Maybe these type of things should be weekly stickies.

Great job and to do so in less than perfect conditions is amazing.  Dude was a great get and a baller.  Hope his injury wasn't anything serious.

:ahhhhhhhh

I think Spielman has a chance to be great if the offense allows him to be, and I look forward to seeing him in such an offense hopefully next year. The slot is the most dangerous receiver in the modern game and he has the physical tools to be good there. Run a jet sweep to him first half that has no chance because they read it by alignment. Then later in the half he beats press man, with inside leverage, no doubt, to make a great catch over the middle. He can do it, just have to put him in the position to make plays.

Just curious what factors in the the average.  No Doubt he played a great game and well deserved.  It was just a thought especially when the percentage is labeled to the tenths.

"We need to do a better job of NOT throwing it to the guy who had the best game."

A reporter noted that slot receiver JD Spielman has been targeted 27 times the last two weeks -- a very high number. During the same span, Stanley Morgan has been targeted 12 times.

"I'd like those two players to be balanced out -- those two players in particular," Riley said.

Spielman would be a pretty darn good slot-receiver in a spread oriented offense. Not that he’s not good now, but if he was able to operate in more space it would be pretty special.

I knew JD was a baller the 1st time I saw him @ the Spring Fling.  Shades of Irving...

Hes now the go to guy, easily.
