Anyone been to a St Andrew's Pub in another city before? I heard today that Beercade, in Benson, is moving next door and a St Andrew's is taking their spot.

I knew Beercade was moving but didn't hear about this place. I find it pretty hard to believe a national bar would move into the area.

The plan as I knew it was that Beercade was moving next door to expand and a craft cocktail lounge with reserved seating was moving into the existing Beercade. It's possible that this has changed . . .

Edit: here's the story from some time ago . . . http://www.omaha.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20130326/GO/130329694/1031#.UyjcvvSYLkg

Once Beercade moves, Larkin and Roskelley are planning to open a craft cocktail lounge in the space currently occupied by Beercade. The yet-to-be-named lounge will feature cocktails along the lines of those served at the Boiler Room, Larkin said. Customers will be seated as if they were at a restaurant, and occupancy will be limited to the number of seats.
The idea is to keep the number of customers manageable so bartenders can make each drink with care, emphasizing quality over quantity, Larkin said.

I got the info from a local news reporter that was sitting in on the Omaha City Council meeting yesterday. But, I am also surprised that they would consider a chain type place..if this comes true.

Hmmm. Well that's too bad.

I hate soccer and think it is super lame...with that being said it is a perfect fit for Benson because its not the "norm"

I love the Benson bars and they are a blast but lets face it...I would be shocked if they would even put a Husker game on TV

Does anyone live or go near the Florence area? I've been invited to Florence Days and they're talking about going to Mouth of the South, a cajun place that just opened up.
