Starting TB returning punts...

I am probably one of the biggest fans of Abdullah out there and love his game-changing ability, but with Rex's knee and lack of experience behind Ameer, can we please stop putting him back as a returner!

Let's get one of our talented WRs back there and let them get an extra 3-5 touches per week.

What do you guys think???

Turner would be perfect. However he needs to learn how to run forward first.

I agree. Would hate to see AA get hurt on KO or punt duties with the injuries to Rex. Lately, our ST play has been horrible. No reason to get AA hurt for our crappy play (or any Husker). How about Heard, Marlowe or some of the other receivers?

I am not worried about a dynamic returner at this point. Put a guy back there that will catch the damn ball. I think Marlowe would be a good candidate, he has been solid although not spectacular in the return game in his career.

If we had the 2009 D, I would lean that way, but we need game-changers to help flip the field and take some pressure off the O! We seem to always have horrendous starting field position...wish I could find stats to back it up...

Marlowe was in on several plays Saturday. But I'd like to see what Turner could do back there. He's the most electric and elusive runner we have. Even more so than Abdulah.

This offense has shown the ability to be downright lethal. The problem is they can't go out there and show off when our special teams gives the ball back to the other team with the defense gets off the field.

I would of gladly lost 10 yards of field position every punt against Northwestern instead of those two fumbles.

I say put Enunwa back there! He will just truck all the way down the field lol. Tarriq Allen would be a good fit on Special Teams, and like stated before, Marlowe. I would even say to put Janovich back there ;) Lol
