Hard to see why he would leave Alabama for a lateral move here unless he gets a little more $$$ and has nostalgic pangs for Nebraska.

Jesus you really are doing this in every. f'ing. Thread. Like Donny I kindly request that you SHUT THE f#*k UPNWHuskerfan said:That would be a great move. The more top notch staff he can put together the more faith I have in this selection. Until I see it Im very doubtful of the hire. Please don't bring anyone from Oregon State. The whole 5 wins this year!!! Various other years of losing seasons. Also get use to Pro style West Coast ball. The power running game and smash mouth ball isn't come back with this coach.
Pay em 5 mil each for all I care, just get the best of the best. What does everyone think about Steele as Co DC/LB Coach/Co RC at 900k and Ed Orgeron as Co DC/DL coach/ co RC at 900k?
Thinking the same...I chose the wrong profession!$700,000 is a nice chunk for a LB coach! Wow!
Perhaps he's bored of having a team that wins their conference every year and needs a challenge????Minnesota_husker said:Outside of money, why would he want to leave bama for here?
Does the University have the money I always hear they have. After the last two buyouts, will they want to spend what they need to compete with the OSU's, Ala"s.I have been saying that for years. The current big dogs do it different. Bama is the mother ship on this. You get Steele here, we can come back quickly. He knows the ropes, how to sell, who to sell (MOM) and who to make adequate (DAD). He is making that money because of the recruiting side, period. Never seen, but hear about it all the time on, yea I know the Finebaum show, but not from Paul, but people working with in that system. Nebraska can do this, especially with the Big 10 money coming in. We most likely need to spend another 20% due to location.
Anxious to see what the staff ends up looking like.
Well, if you have to twist my arm . . .What does everyone think about Steele as Co DC/LB Coach/Co RC at 900k and Ed Orgeron as Co DC/DL coach/ co RC at 900k?
Have you ever been to Tuscaloosa or Alabama in general?Minnesota_husker said:Outside of money, why would he want to leave bama for here?

Would they let Riley put together a staff the size of say, Ala. Didn't Bo just get the use of a Jet last year. Would think some of the other big program would have had one long before Neb did. Just seemed to me that the university was tight with the buck, for a long time.
GBR!!!
Nebraska will be raking in the cash even more once they become full fledged members of the Big 10 (next year or two?). Money won't be an issue, whether the school wants to flex it's financial muscle is another thing.
My thoughts exactly.$700,000 is a nice chunk for a LB coach! Wow!
Knappp or Zoogies could be sweet to her and convince her, you know, build her a cake or something. His wife is the biggest hang up to him coming back....
