Good sized rumor has Stoops going to Miami. After the scandals and his wife being from Florida, this might have credence
I believe he's the second highest behind Kirk Ferentz from Iowa.....Stoops said yesterday in Presser he has no desire to go to Miami (coachspeak obviously). However! During Switzer's show the other night, he was asked if Stoops would be leaving. BS said his strong belief, based on talks he's had with Stoops, is IF Cowher is fired from the Steelers OR he's hired as the NC State Coach (which many believe he could very well be since his wife is an NC State alum, his daughter goes to NC State and his wife currently lives in NC) then Stoops could be very interested in the Steelers HC job. He's from Youngstown, I believe he grew up a Steelers fan and the Steelers generally don't have all the BS problems other pro teams have. BS believes that's the only real scenario that could find Stoops leaving. Potential NCAA sanctions and such could make the idea of leaving much more appealing in hopes of separating himself from those problems (OU's b-ball coach did the same thing)
Having said that, I believe Stoops still has a few years left on his contract and it would take some serious money from the Steelers to buy him (Stoops is the highest, if not one of the highest, paid coaches in NCAA).
