Sub-Two-Hour Marathon

Heh. I was watching some marathon results down to around 2:03 just the other day and wondered when someone would break 2 hours. That last 3 minutes might be pretty hard to drop.

That's only 7 seconds per mile. Shouldn't be a problem.

Ha ha! Or about 2.4%. Which is a lot. Fifty years ago was the last time the marathon record was broken by more than a minute. Just sayin.. LINK

If the average runner's stride is, say, 4 feet, then they only need to stretch that out by about 1.3 inches. Heck, perhaps buying a longer pair of shoes could do that? LOL

13 MPH is moving right along for 26 plus miles. Amazing athletic accomplishment to run that fast that far!

Colorado I-70 Marathon.

From Eisenhower tunnel to the east towards Denver for 26 miles.

Are skates allowed?
