I am proud to say that I officially resigned from my job today. It feels weird after 12 years of being a cop that now I am all of a sudden "a civilian"! My wife has a job lined up down in Florida that makes more than our two jobs combined up here in Texass.

So...we are packing up the family and heading to sunny Florida. Port Saint Lucie to be exact. My brother in law has a beautiful 26 footer that we are going to take out and fish for Marlin the second I get there!

Me...I haven't the slightest idea what kind of job I am going to be doing. I was thinking Wal Mart door greater...Those smiley face stickers are pretty cool!

Anyways....If you ever walk the beaches of Port Saint Lucie and notice a guy with a bunch of Nebraska Stuff, screaming wild obscenities about all colleges football teams in Florida, that will be me! :horns2

**Update** I just sold my Harley and now have a nice down payment for a boat of my own! My wife thinks she is going to be buying new living room furniture with the cash. Boy is she in for a big surprise! ;)

WOW!!! This was pretty unexpected, but congrats on the big change buddy. I hope everything works out well for ya and if it doesn't you can always get into law enforcement in Florida most likely. I wish I could get my wife to move to Florida or at least some place warm.................... <_<

Yeah I will miss being a cop right up until the point of working deep nights, constant heart burn, lower back pain, leg cramps, phone calls from the DA bright and early in the morning, IA complaints because I ticketed someone's kid, everyone asking me if I know Officer so and so and if so, why is he so damn mean? Getting a call out right before one of my kids football games. Missing my daughter's first soccer goal. On second thought...I aint gonna miss it at all! ;)

Congrats!!! Next thing we'll know you'll be buying a bar, and wearing a T-shirt with knockers airbrushed on it.

***UPDATE***

Ok who turned on the FRIGGEN HUMIDITY??!!! I go from 0% to 100% in a matter of two days. One word comes to mind when I step outside WOW! Reminds me of when I used to be stationed in Guam. Other than that, we love it here. The school systems are pretty good besides the fact that that they have to bus my kids 12 miles from my house when there are two friggen schools just blocks away! The good thing about having three kids is once an opening comes up for one of them, all three get slots for that school.

The houses here are dirt damn cheap! We bought a 5 bedroom, 3600 sq feet WITH an inground pool for ONLY 195K! The house is 2 years old and the first year it was appraised for over 400 thousand.

The food here is ok, but man I really miss my Mexican cuisine! Other than that, I can't wait to watch the Huskers this saturday on my brand new 52" Plasma! GBR!

Oh....and to hell with any Gator, Seminehole, or Miami Corrections aka Hurricane fans out here! :woo
