That's what I needed for a couple days, most of you probably need the same. This class is going to end just the way we envisioned it. Believe in the power of the N!

 
If this class fails to be in the top 15 like so many thought it would do we all go back to saying stars don't matter or are we going to be upset?

 
probably neither, a little disappointed - however if the class falls just short of 15 it will still be one of our better in the past dozen years.

Simple answer...yes. If we can't make improvements on the recruiting front, we will continue to get blown out in the most important games. I really think that for teams to be competitive in the CFP they need to be no worse than a top 15 class over the course of the prior 4 seasons. Last year 3 of the 4 CFP teams ranked consistently in the top 12 over the prior 4 seasons, and one team, MSU, averaged in the upper 20s. We all remember which team got blown out.
