Tale of the Tape - Purdue

International Man of Mystery
Hail Varsity continues to kick the crap out of nearly every publication covering the Huskers. Here's Grant Muessel's Tale of the Tape column from the Purdue game. Clicketh the linketh for many great gifs.

As the saying goes, there’s no defense for a perfect pass. “The player’s underneath the receiver, where it has to be just an unbelievable throw,” Coach said. “Nine times out of 10 this is never going to be completed.”

The defender could have put himself in slightly better position by jamming De’Mornay Pierson-El off the snap allowing him to stay more parallel on his hip, but that’s not going to change the placement and perfect touch by Tommy Armstrong. “It might be the best throw the guy’s made all year,” Coach said.

HV does some really good work and they get a disparately low amount of recognition. More people need to make them a regular part of their weekly reading.

I am happy to see them highlight some good things Nebraska did on Saturday, being as so many thought they played so poorly that day.

Does anyone have a print subscription to Hail Varsity?

I kinda want to get one just because their photography is pretty stellar but I don't know if it would be worth it since I'd be getting it late being out of state and all

I wish they did more of this. Following the Miami game they said they had 12 plays to pick from, but cut it to 3.

My question is:

Why cut it down?

I personally would love to see more of this kind of stuff overall about our Huskers. 12 Plays doesn't even seem over kill.
