Tangerine Bowl

We might not make a bowl. Could be looking at the toilet bowl.
So long as NU gets six wins over D-1 opponents, they'll get a bowl. While TV coverage is a significant consideration, even more so is fan support. We tend to think of bowls as "made-for-TV" events, but the reality is the selection committees want teams that will bring fans - lot's of 'em - and boost the economy.

Just look at the bowls that don't have a conference tie-in, or have a conference tie-in for only one conference. They uniformly go with a team that has fan support over rankings.

Given NU's proven history of fans buying tickets and spending money, NU gets a bowl if it gets those six wins...

Agreed. A lot of bowls invite teams because of the money they bring in. NU has a history of bringing a lot of fans with them.

Did you read the post? THE FOLKS AT THE TANGERINE BOWL ARE INTERESTED IN NU.
Yes I read the post but my point is they might not have to worry about us if we don't win 6 which is up in the air.
