Tanner Farmer Trash Talking About Oregon

Says we'll "beat the crap out of them."

I'd rather see our guys shut their mouths and let their play do the talking. But now they had better back it up.

I think he said we [Nebraska] should beat the crap outta them, which I think is great. You want that mentality. They should think they can beat the crap outta anybody.

Yeah, could be read that way.

Here's the tweet from Sipple:

Tanner Farmer: Oregon will be our first big test and I am completely confident that we should go in there and beat the crap out of them."

Either way, sounds like bulletin board material for Oregon. Better back it up.

I like hearing our guys are hungry. But this is bold since we are still 6 weeks away from that specific game and both have 0-0 records.

Time to quit being so fragile.

Let me guess, we going to lose a game that matters just because we made someone mad?

He did not use profanity nor demean or disparage them.

F' it!

Now show up and back up your words with character and actions!

My only problem with the comment is it makes it sound like he has already chalked Fresno State up as a win and is already focused on the Orgeon game.

What was the context of the quote though? I'm guessing if he referenced Oregon he was probably asked about Oregon specifically. Perhaps I'm wrong thought and he went straight at Oregon unprovoked. Either way I'm okay with it. It wasn't anything too bad.

Participation ribbon supporters coming out,

I don't see the big deal with this or any other statement like this. You better believe you will win every game you play, would you rather he said "Oregon is better and will win, but gosh darn we will try"

It has been awhile since we had a player say something like this. Time will tell if it is youthful exuberance or if he has balls big enough to back it up. I don't think he plans to be a weak link. Oregon might be shocked.
