Taylor #24

collegefootballnews.com has Mr. Taylor as the #24 heisman candidate on their list, but it's kinda funny that they have John David Booty (not gonna reword his name for entertainment, cuz it's already done) ranked higher and he hasn't even started a game yet. :WTH

That's no surprise. Booty is going to be the starting QB for USC. He's automatically a preseason candidate. Hell, I'd be on that list if I was USC's starting QB.

Let it all play out. But for now, I'm not surprised.

 
I'm glad they even acknowledged Taylor as a candidate, after all he didn't have a stellar year last year. Even the Alamobowl game wasn't that impressive, aside from two big pass plays. Once Taylor can show some more consistency, I think he'll definitely move up that list.

its not taylor's consistency so much as the O-line's consistency that you have to worry about. Taylor was consistent enough the last 3 games of the season when the receivers werent dropping passes and the o-line letting players through.

I totally agree with that. Taylor is not the problem; in most (if not all) cases it's his supporting cast.

It's good for him to be acknowledged someway we'll have to see about him moving up in the rankings I'm sure he will. The USC thing just pisses me off that much more though just because he's playing for USC he automatically a god or something?! :WTH

 
I thought Booty had surgery on his back and might not be ready to play come fall camp?

yeah, but he plays quarterback for the greatest team of all time, so he is automaticly gold...didn't you know? :sarcasm
