Taylor for Heisman

Big night for him, but his % is dropping. Needs to be higher next half. He now has 11 td passes though. A few more would be nice though.

I could care less about that right now. We just need to focus on how the team is doing because there has been some shaky things happen tonight that leave you only to wonder. Seems like Callahan is pass happy after we got off to as fast start...well what we need to do is open up some lanes for the backs, establish the run and only do safe pass plays from here on.

:yeah I would love to see us establish the run in the second half. We need to keep our D off the field, since a lot of our scores have been short field and long plays. I wonder what the time of possesion is right now...

I wouldn't put him up for heisman after this game. He made some bad throws to receivers. If you take away the 3 big plays which were around 230 yards, he had a bad night. Luckily though, those plays were made and we got the win.

Taylor needed a big game against USC to have any shot at the Heisman. Voters look at the stats put up in big games and Taylor didn't have one against USC.

Gotta keep winning for that kind of talk to keep flying.
IMO he doesn't stand a chance and should not even be on the list. Good QB with great heart, I'll give him that but a great QB he is not. Additionally he's way to far behind in the game. He would need to become super QB from here out just to be considered a contender. I'm not sure he has either the talent or the team to do so.

I'd have to say you are right on about good QB, but he just doesn't have everything else it takes to win the heisman. If it were as easy as putting up some stats, Texas Tech would have a QB right in the mix every year.

C/ATT YDS AVG TD INT

Zac Taylor 15/33 393 11.9 4 0

Heisman

I agree...his stats altogether are pretty right now. Should at least be given some hype if winning continues.
I don't think he is too far off all-god QB Brady Quinn who is supposed to be still in the hunt.

vs Michigan 24/48 234 4.9 3 3

vs Michigan State 20/36 319 8.9 5 1

vs Purdue 29/38 316 8.3 2 0

Sure Taylor will have to amp it up and stay consistant put I believe he is capable.

I think he is as well. ISU doesn't have the best defense, and KSUcks is up and down. UT is the game where he will really have to have a big game for national people to notice, which is possible with the game being in Lincoln. GBR and GZT!
