Technically we had relatively equal football seasons (7-5, lose to a Big 12 team in the bowl game) and we had the much better basketball season - should be a no-brainer, right?

I know it doesn't actually work that way and I'm assuming it's all LSU. I do think if you're going to play both football and basketball it's tough to find a sleazier combo of coaches to play for than Kiffin/Wade, but they have the resources and a better track record for sure.

It will be much more difficult but this situation is very similar to Dawson Merrit's. Ahmad loves LSU because it is home but he likes Nebraska way more. Let's see how much LSU loves him back in the coming months. Something tells me that the relationships and Nebraska's determination to stay in this will make him reconsider.

He was always going to LSU. Louisiana kids dream of playing in the purple and gold and getting the offer to B.R. There are no examples where a top talent in Louisiana with Nebraska and LSU offers chooses Big Red this century. Deion Jones flipped his commitment the next day. Moore, Morgan, Dixon, Carter and others never had LSU offers. A Hastings, Nebraska kid that grew up dreaming of playing in Lincoln wouldn't go to B.R. either. I think the only thing that gave Mr. Hudson pause was Trae Taylor's efforts and the fact that LSU basketball was down. Nebraska is not winning this race though. It doesn't matter now or later.

His dad played bball for lsu. He and his younger brother have been brought up lifelong lsu fans since before they can remember remembering. I think his parents did well raising their family. Not that they need any recognition from me. Athletics aside the kid seems to be fairly intelligent from what interviews I’ve seen of his. Nothing to be upset about any of that for me. I wouldn’t expect anything less from a kid born and raised a Husker fan instate. Maybe next year we don’t go 1-5 in November and December then things could be different
