#TeamJack Super Thread

Amazing the 20 Anniversary of Jimmy V's speech, the tribute to Robin Roberts, Stuart Scott looking thin but good and Jack winning the ESPY... my front room absolutely erupted when Jack's name was announced. T_O_B

What a great thread this turned out to be. Good for this young man. I hope all of these celebrities are opening up their checkbooks to actually help the foundation.

K-State just did the same thing this year for a kid. I know other schools have been increasingly doing this too, and it's always very, very cool. I hope this sort of gesture does not become cliche, though.

And watching the K-State video, I couldn't help but notice that Jack ran a lot faster during his run.

Nebraska head coach Bo Pelini and 8-year old Jack Hoffman will be honored and interviewed as part of the d!(k Vitale Gala on Friday night in Sarasota, Fla.

The conversation will touch on Hoffman’s 69-yard touchdown run in Nebraska’s 2013 spring game, and how it helped elevate awareness for pediatric brain cancer and how it inspired fundraising to support research that will help fight the disease.

Vitale expects Friday's gala to raise $2 million to support pediatric brain cancer research, increasing the event’s overall contributions to more than $12 million. This year’s event sold out and forced gala organizers to decline celebrities who wanted to buy tickets.
