I've seen a few rumors floating around today, and wanted to see what the Husker faithful

thought of the potential of Gilmore as a head coach?(at Wyoming)

Yeah I really hope he stays, I like him a lot but if he gets an offer and takes it good luck to him

It's all speculation at this point, and I imagine no one wants to see him leave.

Wyoming's current coach has been on the hot seat for a long time now, many think he won't survive after this season.

I beleive he was given an ultimatum at the end of last year of "go to a bowl game or else."

And after the loss last night that is no longer possible, but who knows its all rumors at this point.

Unless anyone has heard from a credible saltwater aquarium guy.

The win over Tennessee didn't buy him another year? Plus, there's the emotional let down after the upset AND having a short week.

NU had a full week to prepare for KSU but I wonder if we MIGHT see a letdown in Manhattan. Hope not.

 
bo will not permit a 'letdown'. i believe both he and the staff have the kids focused on playing strong and playing to win.

i expect big things from our newly minted blackshirts tomorrow... and i suspect bo does also.

I agree, I think the defense will play with a new mind set now that they are true blackshirts. The mental aspect of football is huge and these boys will play on a different level I believe.

 
Hey JoeGlenn, what about Fulmer? Tommy Bowden? Or even Willingham? :dunno

What's the scenario with the Cowboys? Are they looking for a homer or a different direction? I think any position coach (i/e Gilmore) would take a shot as a head coach.

 
If it happens we can't be mad about it, the guy is just trying to better himself. I could definately see it happening since it's his old school.

Nope, assistants won't be assistants forever. If he decides to go, good luck to him. Wouldn't mind seeing Wyoming on the non-con schedule.
