Terry Joseph Working Where He Was Meant To Be

Even though Terry Joseph has been a man without a cell phone, a car or an apartment this week, it felt like home just sitting in his new office on the second floor of the Osborne Athletic Complex. Watching film of the defensive backs he’ll coach when Nebraska’s Spring Football Practice begins Saturday, Joseph, 38, wasted no time diving into his new job. He looked intense, and he looked happy.
A onetime graduate assistant on a talented LSU staff that included Bo Pelini and John Papuchis, Nebraska’s new secondary coach believes he’s working where he is meant to be. “This really is a perfect fit,” he said, “because this is an opportunity that could not have come at a better time in my life or in my career. To be in this office and to coach the defensive backs at Nebraska, I almost have to pinch myself when I wake up in the morning. Every day, one of our assistants picks me up at the Cornhusker Hotel, and when I open the door to my office, I look out my window and see that weight room with that Big Red N on the wall, and it always reminds me of where I am.”

Love to see that passion toward the university. Now he needs to go give sales pitches like that to a bunch of recruits.

Awesome little article. I could walk the fence on this one, but I'll go out on a limb and say that I really expect some good things from Mr. Joseph. Welcome to the family.

I agree! I think this guy is going to be really good for our team. I was excited to hear that the ink is dry on the contract and that he's so enthusiastic about where he is! Welcome Mr. Joseph!

I'm impressed and I'm inspired :thumbs

this dude going to recruit for us......big time. we have alot of scholarships for next year. i think we have a big haul.

He knows how good he's got it at Nebraska... He would have probably been looking for a job next year anyway if the Vols don't bowl Dooley and Co. will be done.

I like this hire a lot for some reason. Don't know why, just feel a lot better about this one than I did last year at this time w/ Fish/Raymond. I've been hoping for a top-notch recruiter for a while. Only time will tell whether Joseph can be that guy - but I think he has the potential to be.

I hope he'll be everything he's advertised as. It will be interesting what type of DB talent he can get us.
