Texas Fans Expect to Beat Nebraska

Texas fans have always given Nebraska proper respect, we just expect to beat yall every time we play and we normally do. I think having someone bigger and badder on the block (plus some Ric Flair type of victories mixed in) is unbearable to the Huskernation.

I really think Texas caused the entire Husker nation to snap. Some of the post I've seen (not necessarily on this board) and just pure hate towards Texas is troubling. I plan on being at the game this year, but I am starting to question if that is a safe move.

I get it. Texas is smug, but some of this talk is becoming unhinged.

Luckily, Nebraska does not have the Incredible Hulk playing on their d line this year. I look forward to the game in Lincoln and the inevitable Texas victory. Relax and enjoy it.

You are safe to make the trek to Lincoln. You will find that after you leave, you will realize that this is one of the most "enemy" friendly stadiums you will ever travel too. Expect some friendly ribbing but your car will be safe, you won't get things thrown at you, and expect to tail gate with many Husker fans.

 
Really? Nebraska fans seem angry? Wander over to shaggybevo and see how angry UT fans are that Nebraska fans think OU will be better than UT next year.

 
There's a reason why Nebraska fans have been called The Greatest Fans In College Football. Outsiders have always been welcomed to Memorial Stadium and I don't see that changing when UT visits in October.

I'm not angry at all. Maybe it's those five National Championships. You may have beaten us within the past several years but overall I'll take my team over yours. We have the hardware to prove it.

I hear that Nebraska fans are the greatest all the time. There just to seems to be an unusual amount of heat on this game this year.

I mean Texas has caught their fair share of stinkers from a memisis(TTech) or been motorboated for multiple years by a rival (OU) but Texas has never gone on like this about revenge on any one team.

I'm sure Nebraska will bring all of their game, but in the end Texas always has a little more.

Just remember, Nebraska and every other team in the Big 12 has their game date with Texas circled. Nothing the Texas football team is not used to.

I have all the respect for Texas fans. I'm glad we have the opportunity to play against Texas because everyone loves big games like this. At the same time you don't need to tell Husker fans about what it's like having their game date circled.

Been there done that...

Everything is cyclical. There was a time when Nebraska had the bulls-eye on their back.

Texas deserves a lot of respect! They are a class act! But you forget that the refs had to bail you guys out in the ccg. I cant wait for oct 16. Bring it on Texas!

This is why I love college football!

UT is coming off two sh**ty games where their offense was shut down in both and their defense exposed in another. Lets just leave it at that.

You really don't understand why NU dislikes UT? Dude, its college football, fans of team A generally dislike fans of team B-Z
