After weeks of wating, I finally got word today that my truck that was in Port Arthur Texas where Hurricane Rita got a direct hit... my truck is ok! They are putting the transmission back on my Dakota and ill have it within the week, I just have to find a way to get down there, lol.

I missed my baby

No, Im from Oklahoma, I was in Texas for a year going to college at Lamar University.

I really wanna go to NU, but I dont have the money, and grants wont pay for it all.

Good to hear, I bet thats relieving. So did you hitch a ride with someone when the storm moved in or something? Did the tranny go out when you were trying to leave, or was it already in the shop at the time?

Well I left for Oklahoma somewhere around May 12th, about two hours into my trip, I was just fixing to get into Houston, and my transmission goes out, so I have no choice but to call my dad and ask him to wire me some money for a plane ticket to Oklahoma City, I had to get my truck towed from Houston to Port Arthur, which is about 100 miles or so, they drop it off at my grandparents house because I had no were else to keep it, then I found out I was going to have to have back surgery so I didnt need it to be fixed anytime soon, so now its getting fixed so I can have it after my surgery, Ill be able to have it in a week or so.... hopefully.

I probably left some stuff out, it was a sh**ty day for me, lol.

Damn, that definitely qualifies as a craptastic day, I'd say. Glad things are starting to smooth out for you. :)
