I enjoyed seeing just how classy the Nebraska fans are, you showed it this morning on college game day by silently observing the Mario Danelo tribute, and again when Vincent Joseph went down. You fans stayed there till the very end of the game and cheered your team on whistle to whistle, something our fans should take note of. I really wish you the best of luck in winning the Big 12. USC stopped the run early which really hurt. If a couple of bounces would have went your way, it really could have been a close game. Looking at the statistics, you should hang your heads high! You won the possession battle and we were basically even in yards. Thank again, I am ready for bed after a really long day.

On a side note: Does anyone have an explanation as to why USC did not get the ball to start the second half? They kicked off both at the start of the game and the start of the second half. I have never seen that happen before.

 
Thanks for the post. It was a touching story then and now. I think the Trojans showed how they felt when they took the penalty on that extra point. Salute.

I think because Pete had the choice in the first half. Bill got the choice in the second.???? I can't keep up with the rule changes. Not too politically correct.

Thanks for the kind words - I have to say, USC showed they deserved their ranking.

As to NU getting the ball each half, I think that USC won the flip and elected to go on defense to start the game. At the half, the election went to NU and they elected offense - which makes sense given the score at the time.

You have a great team to cheer on. Congtrats on that. Your team is what we aspire our team to be but arent quite there yet.

As a fan base we love our team. But realistically we know that it would have taken a major shake up to beat your fellas.

Stop by and talk football anytime and congrats again.

 
All the USC fans I met today were a tribute to their team/school. Very good people, from what I saw. Also, I was incredibly impressed with LSU's performance last week against VTech, but I have to say I was more impressed with how USC looked tonight.

Yeah, I n'er saw that before myself. So if you win, and choose "differ" - that means you automatically get the ball kicked to you in the second half?

I was glad to hear from Carroll at the half that Joseph's injury didn't seem too serious. Hopefully he will make a complete recovery quickly.

The tribute that USC did for Danelo on the field during the Idaho game was very touching. Good luck to your boy this season and I hope our teams will play again soon :)
