Okay, I understand that it is a nanallama, but my only question is....why? Also, the llama doesn't look like a llama, it does look like a galloping pickle. WTH?

The bunny's name is Oolong, he was owned by a japanese photographer. He used to do bizarre things with the rabbit and take pictures of it (nothing perverse or painful... just... you know... put pancakes on his head... waffles... just weird things). They are just so stupid that they're actually pretty funny. At some point, some Internet soul added the caption, "I have no idea what you're talking about, so here's a bunny with a pancake on its head." I guess that the animated gif is shorthand for that
