To any of the Husker players that read this board: Thank You! Thank you for going to practice every day, keeping up with your studies, and for many of you thank you for making the sacrifice to be away from family/friends to play for NU.

To our outgoing seniors-Thank You. We will miss you! Thank you Fonzie and Vonte-you were our shining stars. Thank you to those of you who never got much of a chance to play yet you showed up practice after practice just in case the coaches might need you. That kind of sacrifice is admirable.

To those of you who are coming back next year-have a great off season. Grow-learn-come back and make us proud. To the new recruits-welcome! We look forward to having you as part of the Husker family.

Win or lose we are will be here to cheer you on. So thanks for this year! Best wishes for next year and best wishes to our seniors who might be playing on Sunday!

Good post Ladyhawke, and I second those sentiments.

Thanks for everything all of our Nebraska players and staff have done for us this year, and let's work hard on our studies and during the off-season to make 2012 even better. :)

 
Thanks Matthew. It's so easy to get discouraged after the routing we took last night. Blah! But! I'm ever the optimist! I'm hopeful that we can take care of the things that don't work and come out a better team next year. GBR!

I agree. These guys come to Nebraska, work hard, and do their best when they play. If they are not up to our sometimes unrealistic expectations, it is not their fault. They are living the dream; playing Cornhusker football and I have no reason to think they are not doing their best. I always say, what are the kids supposed to do? Go to the coach and say: "You know, I was reading huskerboard and they don't think I'm good enough...so sit me on the bench". As you said, most of these kids go to class, keep up on their studies, follow the rules, put time in the weight room, work hard in practice and leave it all on the field. I am proud of them too. Go Huskers.
